Four (4) rebuilding efforts due to Typhoon Haiyan havoc in the Philippines benefit from the Filipino-Australian Artistic and Cultural Endeavour Society, Inc (FAACES).
FAACES President Manny Diel said Central Philippine University Outreach Centre Project in their Rehabilitation and Livelihood Program (Iloilo), PBG Pinampoan Project in Leyte, Barangay Daga Project for Yolanda Victims in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental and ASK Foundation for their Yolanda Survivors project will benefit from about $5,600 net amount out of over $9,500 raised from the hugely successful charity event held last 8 February 2014 at Burwood RSL Club.
HeART Work Variety Show was put together and staged by the budding arts and culture society and being true to its major objective, featured some of the best music and entertainment artists in Australia, in its desire to share to the massive efforts of rebuilding lives and livelihoods in the cities devastated by super typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) i the Philippines.
FAACES expresses its heartfelt appreciation to all the participants, volunteers , patrons and the over 600 people who came to watch the show. Everyone by way of their presence, participation and performance “donated” to help the Haiyan victims rebuild their lives.
The arts society also acknowledges the invaluable support of its event’s sponsors namely: MoneyGram, Knights of the Southern Cross NSW, Knights of the Southern Cross Bulli, Revesby Press, Burwood RSL Club, Philippine Community Herald, Wanderland Travel and Lenzmen.
HeART Work was also honoured by the presence of special guests including MP Charles Casuscelli of Strathfield representing Premier Barry O’Farrell and Minister of Citizenship Victor Dominello, Philippine Consul General Anne Jalando-on Louis, Consul Marford Angeles, Trade Attache Emmanuel Ang, Red Elephant Projects Director Reg Raghavan, Paul Tuckerman and Tyronne Phillips of the Knights of the Southern Cross.
