What a breath of fresh air!

Embarking on their 1st Royal Tour Down Under, we warmly welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge , their Royal Highnesses William and Kate with their bouncy Baby George.
Following the footsteps of Prince Charles and Princess Diana visiting our shores with then Baby William, the young family are here to promote what we call the Royal Firm, headed by Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Sydney Harbour iconic Sydney Opera House was where it all happened on the 16th April, with officials headed by the Governor General and Mrs Peter Cosgrove leading the welcome for citizens and country of Australia. After the official ceremony, they met and greeted those lucky enough to be invited including Glenn McGrath, the cricketer, after which they were whisked to Admiralty House on a boat, their home while in Sydney.

Baby George was given a big wombat for his nursery . The picture shows him admiring and touching the wombat’s nose.

One of the first places they were to visit is in Western Sydney specifically Winmalee where the Duchess will meet her co-girl guides (she was one when in primary) and then to go to the scenic parts of the Blue Mountains e.g. at Echo Point and The Three Sisters, meeting the bushfire survivors and volunteers.
